Vampire Weekend - Holiday
What better way to spend a sunny afternoon than with Vampire Weekend? This happy go lucky group will be bringing out the hits when they perform on the Pyramid Stage today, sandwiched in between the gangster rappers Snoop Dogg and Dizzee Rascal.
A-Punk was a runaway success with its precise, vibrant, Blitzkrieg Bop style chorus. Now that the second record is out, adding to their repertoire, the New Yorkers are making a step up from their appearance on the Other Stage in 2008. Contra is an amazing album emphasizing the different dimensions the band exhibit.
Cousins marked an experimental edge, with its intense drum pattern and swinging guitar melodies. Horchata was a slice of perfect pop. Giving Up The Gun was another top ten hit. The group's latest single Holiday is a bouncy taste of summer, a great anthem for day two of one of the greatest holidays of all, The Glastonbury festival.
