Musician, songwriter and former lead singer with The Boomtown Rats, Sir Bob is also well known for his political activism and charity work.
Along with Midge Ure, he masterminded the star-studded Band Aid singles and the giant trans-continental Live Aid concert, reconvening it to put on Live 8 in 2006, further continuing his campaign against poverty in Africa and to fight for fairer debt settlement for African countries.
When not doing all of these things, he is also fulfilling his fatherly duties to Peaches, Pixie and Tiger.

What was more offensive - getting a box of "presidential M&Ms" from GW Bush as a souvenir on your flight to Africa on Air Force One or a signed photo from Benedict XVI as a "no thanks" response to your Live 8 invitation? And regarding the photo - did you do a "Sinead O'Connor" after receiving it or will you put it up for charity auction one day?

My ? is this; when we were seeing all of those videos of the people living in the Kalahari(?) why did no one but me snap to the fact that if they had all of this sun why not put solar panels in there and make electricity like that and improve( if they want it) their lives and maybe some one else too? To me it was a "Duh?" question. Use natural resources.
