DELS - Shapeshift
DELS is the alias of Kieren Dickins, Big Dada's newest signing. This Ipswich rapper has the backing of Hot Chip's Joe Goddard in the production of his debut single, Shapeshift. His album, set for release next year also boasts of collaborations with Micachu And The Shapes, as well as Kwes and Sampha.
DELS draws immediate comparisons to Big Dada''s other big gun, Wiley, due to his bass laden beats and heavy weighted delivery, but is altogether unique in terms of his lyrical content. Shapeshift which is set for release in early September, sees him recall troubled times in early childhood and his ability to block out problems by inventing alter-egos and morphing into various created characters.
Music is not the only outlet for DELS creativity, having previously studied graphic design he also makes his own artwork and videos, including the one below which features the aforementioned producer, Joe Goddard. DELS is set to tour with DOOM throughout October. Be sure to catch him at one of the dates below.
