History Of The Awards

Comments

Since they began in 1990, the Q Awards have become one of Britain's biggest and best music awards, helped in no small part by the often boisterous behavior of the celebrities who attend the event.

Perhaps the most notorious event of recent years was the ceremony of 2004, at which Elton John accused Madonna of cheating fans by miming on stage, after she had been nominated for a Best Live Act award.

U2, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, Coldplay, Radiohead, The Who, Arctic Monkeys and more have all attended the annual Q Awards. A megastar line up is guaranteed, as is plenty of controversy. Whether it's Liam Gallagher rucking with Robbie Williams, Liam Gallagher calling Chris Martin a "plant pot"or Liam Gallagher starting a fight in an empty room, there's sure to be aggro. And the biggest names in music.
