Hope is the title for Leni Ward's upcoming debut. A fitting one word summation of an album which promises a half full approach. This single asserts an optomistic outlook after a shattered relationship comes to an end. Leni Ward is a solo performer, using a whole host of pedals and looping devices to generate a layered, yet organic sound.
The track encapsulates the very core catalyst of emotion behind her debut. Leni explores the breakdown of her seven year relationship, aiming to celebrate rather than commiserate, choosing dancing over depression. Her inspired lyrics are delivered across a background of swirling synths and harp tickles.
Leni already has a number of admirers making sure she does not have to dwell on the past for too long. Steve Lamaq featured her as his artist of the week last year. Tom Robinson also supported her from an early stage, choosing her as the opening act during his Fresh On The Net Session.
