The Barclaycard Mercury Prize 2010 shortlist is unveiled in London this morning. We're there twittering as this year's Mercury panel announce their roll call of twelve "Albums of the Year" - what they consider to be the twelve most notable records of the year recorded by British or Irish artists.

whilst I'm a big Biffy fan, i has to be villagers for me as the winner, although the XX are fabulous, but then again so are Foals, Blimey its a toughie this year, Weller is a god and CBR The Sea is a superb second Album.
