The Futureheads - I Can Do That

Four albums in and The Futureheads are in fine form, as this new single suggests. The Chaos is a record examining the principles of Chaos theory. Nothing is too advanced for this Sunderland four-piece. This release was the first to be written in their home town and has been influenced by the impact the economic plight has had in the area, but these are not gloomy songs by any means. A fast paced, positive vibe portrays the optimism of the people they were surrounded by.

Having already gained the attention of radio pundits with their fight-back single, Beginning Of A Twist, the group moved on to increased airplay with the first single from this record, Heartbeat Song. I Can Do That continues this impact, with its heavyweight chorus and punchy guitar hooks.

Now on their own label, The Futureheads are no longer simply synonymous with a Kate Bush cover, they are a punky group making DIY rock tunes mainstream for the masses to enjoy. The Chaos sees them reach new heights, as well as a long list of tour dates. Be sure to check them out while you can.
