Caitlin Rose - Shanghai Cigarettes
After releasing her debut album Own Side Now only last week, Caitin Rose has garnered a wealth of critical acclaim for her rich songwriting. With a love of female vocalists including Linda Ronstadt and Stevie Nicks as well as country artists including Patsy Cline, this budding artist has her roots firmly planted in the right area.
Shanghai Cigarettes is set for release on 27 September and features Rayland Baxter on shared vocals. This is a smoking song with a lot of attitude to it. Caitlin's country twang and vintage vocals are once again in perfect harmony. The track has an endearingly simplistic style, allowing her witty lyrics to come to the fore. The Nashville raised, 23-year-old rose seems set to catch the eye of those lucky enough to see her on tour.
Her shows are becoming increasingly busy and she even performed an impromptu headline slot at End Of The Road festival last weekend. She has previously supported Phosphorescent, Bill Callahan, Akron Family and Courtney Tidwell while playing across America. She will be returning to the UK in September with a three piece in support of ready to once again add more fans to the ever lengthening band wagon. See the tour dates below to catch her on the road.
