Cee Lo Green - F**k You!
Formerly one half of the hugely successfull duo Gnarls Barkley, Cee Lo Green is most famously known as being the voice behind runaway hit, Crazy. Now once again going it alone after previous mixed results, F**k You! seems to be a single to silence doubters.
This number is a great example of Motown modernity, with smooth vocals being complemented by a soulful yet contemporary beat. Although seeming to sound not too far from Marvin Gaye's early work, lyrically there is no grapevines or double entendre's here. A young Cee Lo has lost his woman and his response is a far more realistic F**k You!
The Ladykiller will be his third solo record and features collaborations with producers Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse, Jurassic 5, Fugees), Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Nelly Furtado, Taio Cruz) and Paul Epworth, who produced the previously unveiled Band Of Horses rework, No-one's Gonna Love You. The much anticipated album is set for release later in the year.
