Q292 Out Now: Lennon At 70. The Unseen Pictures; The Last Interview; The Whole Story...

The new issue of Q is about to hit the shelves. This special collector's edition celebrates the life of the legendary John Lennon, who would have been 70 this month. The issue features four collectible covers celebrating the various prolific stages of his life as well as using some previously unpublished photography. All four covers can be purchased together for £9.99 here

Inside we delve deeply into the man who was a former Beatle, anti-war icon, house husband, troubled genius, but most of all a musical genius. This exploration into his character comes courtesy of contributions from Bono, Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, Billie Joe Armstrong, and of course Yoko Ono in the form of an exclusive interview.

Elsewhere this month we have an interview with Nick Cave's Grinderman outfit, as they release their second LP. There is a feast of Foals material, including a plate of pigs heads. Elvis Costello is in the Cash for Questions hot-seat, while Jerry Lee Lewis takes any Last Requests. Lives come courtesy of Interpol, Band Of Horses, and The Divine Comedy, who recently played Q The Music in Manchester. There 's a great guide to apps for all you iPad owners, an examination of Radio 1's play-listing system, and an interview with Gorillaz.

  • Bored with Yoko, cant you interview someone else. Besides her, like Cynthia Lennon John's first wife. Now that would be a nice change.
