Q staff take on the three peaks

Comments

Q takes on the Three Peaks Challenge! Yes, you read that right, members of the Q staff are set to attempt to complete the arduous three peaks challenge {shhhh, we haven't told them quite how hard that is yet}.

Eight pasty music magaziners are ditching their skinny jeans and trainers for goretex and hiking boots to attempt the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for long-standing friends of Q, the Teenage Cancer Trust, who do a fantastic job helping young people fight cancer.

Along with a couple of other Bauer Media colleagues Q Magazine Editor Paul Rees and fellow soon- to-be Q mountaineers Paddy, Ruth, Anouska, Marty, Matt, Richard & Urmi will attempt to scale three of the tallest peaks in Britain. That's Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon. All within 24 hours. In October.

Given that the only outdoors activity they've collectively endured before now is four days down the front in the parched heat of Glastonbury to say they're nervous is something of an understatement. They're not necessarily your identi-kit rugged, outdoor types - however they are up for the challenge!

We'll be providing more updates online on their progress nearer the time and giving them twitter access throughout the attempt and hopefully a way you can track their progress visually over that weekend.

Meantime, if you'd like to support them on this endeavour and provide extra motivation to achieve this feat you can do so by keeping your fingers crossed over October 1st - 2nd, and if you wish, donating whatever you can for the worthwhile cause on the link at the bottom of the page.

Generously stepping in to help them make it to the base of all the peaks in time to attempt the challenge are Addison Lee, London's finest minicab service.
