Au Revoir is taken from what is to become the second EP this year released by Seven Saturdays. Their expansive, yet individually emotional compositions have a light orchestral flavouring, causing crescendo's to be juxtaposed with chasmic atmosphere.
Earlier this year an eponymous EP became a symphonic sensation, causing the principal Los Angeles multi instrumentalist behind the record, Jonathan D. Haskell, to relocate and get his debut underway in Edinburgh. This second EP, The Snowflakes That Hit Us Became Our Stars, precedes the album and is due out on 18 October.
Haskell poured his feelings about the relocation into this disc which he describes as embodying the love-hate relationship he feels with his Los Angeles hometown and the inescapable effect it has had on him. While walking the cobbled streets of Edinburgh, Haskell has created a psychedelic journey taking in many aural attractions, from bleak Godspeed depths to uplifting Explosions In The Sky influences.
