Q Icon - Bryan Ferry - Heartache By Numbers
Bryan Ferry, the suave, sharply-suited ex-Roxy Music frontman releases his new album today. The new record, Olympia, follows his previous top 5 UK hit Dylanesque. Here Ferry returns with eight new songs as well as two great covers, one is a moving adaptation of Tim Buckley's Song To The Siren while the other is also an amazing version of Traffic's No Face, No Name, No Number.
Olympia sees Ferry working with Scissor Sisters on upcoming single Heartache By Numbers as well as with Groove Armada on this Track Of The Day, Shameless. He is reunited with Phil Manzanera, Andy Mackay and Brian Eno for the first time since his Mamouna album in 1994.
The new record also features collaborations with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, as well as Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, Nile Rogers from Chic, ex Stone Roses bassist Mani, and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Watch below as we take an exclusive behind the scenes look into the making of the new album and it's cover, which features Kate Moss as well as interviews with some of those who contributed to it.
