Chase & Status - Hypest Hype
Chase & Status are having an amazing year as anticipation towards the release of their second album, due out January 31, reaches a pinnacle. The new record promises collaborations with a diverse list of star names including none other than multi Mercury nominee Dizzee Rascal, the broodingly intense White Lies, unique vocalist Cee-Lo, and the year's runaway soul success, Plan B.
Hypest Hype joins previous singles Let Go and End Credits as a rebel rousing anthem, bringing drum'n'bass through to the mainstream charts in a similar way to Australian electro-rockers Pendulum or UK rave pioneers, The Prodigy. This track adds a tinge of dubstep's half time tempo to the mix as well as featuring the quick spitting aggressive grime MC Tempa T.
Performing tonight as the second of the Q Awards build up shows Chase & Status are set to get Kentish Town Forum raving and skanking as they give an exclusive preview of the beats which will inevitably be bouncing around the walls of clubs around the country next year. Also coming up are Paolo Nutini with Tim Robbins, Mark Ronson & The Business INTL and Neil Finn too.
