Richard Hawley, Jarvis Cocker and Ellie Goulding put on a special one-off performance on Thursday night in London, collaborating with guitar legend Duane Eddy at the Clapham Grand.

The gig billed as Tennessee Comes To Town was a special event arranged and put on by Jack Daniels distillery to mark Jack Daniel's birth date.

Kicking off the show was recent Q The Music Club performer Ellie with her band, performing a selection of tracks from her debut album Lights including Starry Eyed, This Love Will Be Your Downfall, The Writer and a cover of Midlake's Roscoe.

The star of the night making his first trip to UK shores since 1990, Duane Eddy then took to the stage backed by Richard Hawley's band performing some of his early breakthrough singles including Rebel Rouser and Movin'n'Groovin', both written with long-time collaborater/producer the late Lee Hazlewood before a beaming Richard Hawley joined him, clearly relishing the experience of playing his own material with one of his guitar heroes.

In his own disarming style Hawley again showed this respect for Duane inviting the audience to enjoy themselves and listen closely, later jokingly highlighting the dream-come-true nature of the gig for him with a Stars In Their Eyes style introduction, "Tonight Matthew, The Streets Are Ours" and launching into the swooning start of one of his best known tracks from his own Lady's Bridge album.

"I'd like to invite one of my oldest and longest friends on-stage" Hawley said as Jarvis Cocker appeared from the wings brandishing an acoustic guitar. Wondering what songs he thought would fit with the set aside from the Eddy/Lee Hazlewood interpretations (and a version of Lambchop's I'm A Stranger Here) Jarvis described how he'd opted plumped for the rockabilly Memphis, Tennessee before Duane returned to the stage to collaborate with Jarvis and Hawley on amongst other things Pulp's Something Changed because he'd always , a likely unexpected highlight for the Pulp fans in the audience. Shortly after Jarvis sought audience permission to take a shot at an Elvis tune. The dust had barely settled on a "Jarvis Presley" version of One Night With You before Ellie Goulding appeared to help round off the night dueting with Duane on These Boots Are Made For Walkin' as she left the stage the main focus shifted back to Duane as he closed the evening proper performing the Henry Mancini composed TV theme, Peter Gunn.
