The Good Natured - Be My Animal
19-year-old Sarah McIntosh is the feisty character behind Be My Animal, a song driven by sexual metaphors and innuendos. This raunchy new single is to be released on 1 November. Her wild exploration of teenage intimacy, complete with raw animalistic claws and sinking teeth, contains traces of Kate Nash with a subtler lending of the 80's synth revival La Roux has had such a success with.
Lyrically The Good Natured explores a different region to that of Lily Allen or Nash's sense of modern feminine identity. McIntosh asks to be hunted and killed by her suitor's in this track, while B-side Prisoner has an almost masochistic examination of physical and emotional struggles in relationships, Tie me up Tie me down being the crucial line.
Previous single Your Body Is A Machine began the exploration of these themes, gaining 100,000 hits on youtube in the process. Be My Animal was written and produced by McIntosh/ John Fortis (Razorlight) while the B-side was written and produced by McIntosh/ Liam Howe (Marina and the Diamonds, CocknBull Kid). Both tracks have been mixed by Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters/ Muse).
