The Awards 2010: Q Classic Songwriter - Neil Finn
As pre-announced this week Neil Finn was presented with the award. KT Tunstall came to the stage saying that Neil was "a total pleasure to work with," and an "all-round dude."
You only hug the girls don't you?" said Finn to Al Murray as he accepted the award, before The landlord gave in and hugged the man himself.
Finn thanked those involved in previous bands as well as his brother Tim while graciously accepting the accolade as Classic Songwriter

Kia Ora & Congratulations Neil. Fact is, you deserved this award 20 years ago! So glad you've been 'officially recognised' for your stellar contribution to songwriting! I owe you - for years of blissfully contented listening; for challenging me to learn to play guitar & piano; for inspiring me to try my hand at songwriting & to sing & play with 'Finnesse' - & for most of my (ahem... your!!!) 'repertoire'! ;o) Would seriously love to jam with you someday! I'm off to grab MY Maton 808 & celebrate, with a few of your overwhelmingly beautiful songs. From me & my family to you & yours - a BIG nod & a HUGE "Thanks!"

so very deserved.saw neil finn with johnny marr the night before,fantastic.like his brother tim he can put a song together.he has written so many great songs
where can you start.he never lets his fans down.he is a true great.i have been a fan for so many years
and he never,ever seems to get above himself.there are so many with so very little talent who get all the coverage,its about time true talent wins out.i love you neil finn !
