These Athens born twin brothers have been playing music together since the age of 13. Residing in London, Ami and Emil Rivers have the cliched sibling connection which makes sure that they are in tune with each other at all times. Both are classically trained with a rich cultural background having also been raised in Portugal. The two have been writing together for more than half their lives, taking a musical journey through many genres including ska, prog rock and punk before settling on their sound.
The duo's second single, On Ebay, is a humorous break-up song with a satirical edge. After placing his girlfriend up for auction online he begins to regret the decision when looking back through the memories and times of happiness that he also stands to lose. The video then takes a sinister edge as the buyer turns up to collect his newly purchased girlfriend.
The concept behind No Machine is a simple one, a decision to bring a sound that is real and therefore easy to relate to with nothing getting in the way of their music. By harbouring this belief it is hoped that their creations will garner a greater emotional connection and therefore the appreciation of newly found fans. With dozens of tracks ready to be recorded it looks as though the new year will be a happy one for the group.
