Q Exclusive first listen: Frightened Rabbit feat. Craig Finn

Selkirk brethren Scott and Grant Hutchison and fellow 'FRabbits' as the band's sometimes collectively referred to, Gordon, Billy and Andy have been putting in the miles this year, touring in support of third album the 'post post-breakup' The Winter Of Mixed Drinks.

Filled with self assured, slow building anthems, it fits somewhere between the literate rockier moments of The Hold Steady and the dense, building arrangements of The National and will likely be making it onto quite a few music journalist and blogger's forthcoming "Best Of 2010" lists.

Already no strangers to an interesting cover - remember their acoustic version of N-Trance's early nineties hit Set You Free (bottom) for example but even by even by their own standards, news of this one was a bit of a curve ball. Craig Finn of The Hold Steady's appearance on the other hand perhaps less so, especially to those that saw the bands side by side at Glastonbury this year. The compliments were equally and mutually forthcoming following both bands respective Sunday sets on The Other Stage.

So what happen's when you cross Elton John and Kiki Dee with Selkirk's finest and add The Hold Steady's lead singer? Well, this below... a rare male-male, shared lead love song duet.

The track will be appearing as a b-side on the next single The Loneliness And The Scream (watch the vid below) and in their limited 7" singles boxed set, both due on November 22, more info and pre-order available on the Frightened Rabbit website (alongside forthcoming UK tour dates).
