Guillemots are back back back. Having ventured on a brief solo path with last year's successful Fly Yellow Moon, Fyfe Dangerfield has gathered the troops for Guillemots' new album Walk The River, out next week. Q caught up with witty drummer Greig Stewart for a rundown of some the tracks that have inspired him over the years.

1. The Fureys - Lonesome Boatman
GS: Growing up surrounded by Celtic Music, The Fureys were the most influential for me.
2. Bille Holiday - Solitude
After my first love lost, this song said everything to me. Sad, pouring heart/soul
singing. I understood you can't practice such performances.
3. Sandy Denny - Who Knows Where The Time Goes?
If there is such a thing as angels, this is how they would sing.
4. Mazzy Star - Into Dust
This song just blew me away and took me to another places; still does. That's what I hope to achieve in music.
5. Miles Davis - Concierto de Aranjuez
This album got me listening to jazz. Miles tones are dark and lonely, he really captures the mood of the piece.
6. US Maple - The State Is Bad
Having played folk for years, I was on the lookout for something new. I discovered US
Maple. This song is just wonky and unhinged.
7. Leonard Cohen - Dance Me To The End Of Love
I lived on a Greek Island for a year. What better way to have two choices rolled into
one? A Greek ballad wrote and sung by Leonard Cohen.
8. Leftfield - Original
Another left turn (sorry 'bout the pun) for me musically. Leftfield got me into drum
programming and fucking up beats and going to clubs.
9. Björk - Bachelorette
Innovative, imaginative. I love the mixture of cool beats, synth strings and voice.
