The White Stripes to release live album of their last ever gig

Comments

Jack and Meg White have announced that their last ever performance as The White Stripes will be released as a double vinyl record. The Detroit alt-rockers, whose hits include Seven Nation Army, Hotel Yorba and My Doorbell, recently called it a day after fourteen years together, albeit after a lengthy hiatus, during which leading man Jack White joined The Dead Weather with The Kills' Allison Mosshart. The show that took place in Southhaven, Mississippi 2007 lends the record its name - Live in Mississippi. Its release will be accompanied by a live DVD, shot in 2000. Sounds like a nice way to say goodbye.

In the meantime, why not watch this classic video of Fell In Love With A Girl and remind yourself just how good they were...
