A collection of diverse and eclectic musicians, About Group is a new collaborative project made up of Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Charles Hayward (This Heat, Camberwell Now, Monkey Puzzle Trio), John Coxon (Spring Heel Jack, Spiritualized) and Pat Thomas (who has played with Derek Bailey, Tony Oxley and many more). Initially devised as an improvisational group, the variety in their line-up has led to the creation of a sound that is both everything and nothing like any of their other projects.
Don't Worry is the forthcoming single from their second album, Start And Complete. A gentle love-song, its mellow, tender charm is both soporific and soothing, and suited for a slow-montage montage for a low-budget independent movie. There's also a peculiar timeless quality to the song - as much as it sounds like an ode of love in modern times, its fuzzy warmth could also be straight from the Sixties. Soulful, sultry and rather seductive, this could be one with which to woo the object of your affections - but please don't blame us if it doesn't work.
