Newcastle noiseniks The Futureheads will headline this year's Southport Rocks festival in the seaside town's Victoria Park.
Taking place on 8-9 July, the festival will also boast performances from The Lancashire Hotpots, Kid British, Stagecoach and Ute, as well as rising unsigned bands. A full weekend's camping costs just £49, and plenty of onsite catering facilities and entertainment will be available, including outdoor climbing walls, cage football, face painting, a vintage market, a homeopathic tent and a massive toddler play area.
Formerly known as the Jedi Festival, the event was launched in 2007 in memory of Chris Haw, and the festival will donate all profits into The Vital Sounds Foundation, screening young people against SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome). Visit the festival website for more information.
