The 2011 Barclaycard Mercury Prize 2011 shortlist is announced today (19 July), so before everyone get's caught up in the 12 albums nominated we thought we'd remind everyone of the standard set by last year's winners The xx.
The London-based band were the clear favourites for last year's award, and despite the prize having a history of spurning the front runner (Blur's Parklife was beaten by M-People lest we forget), the band prevailed.
And reminding everyone why they did, we've nominated VCR as our Track Of The Day today.
