Take That - When We Were Young

Comments

We've had Progress, now we have Progressed (and fingers-crossed a Topographic Oceans-esque album called Progression in the pipeline) as Take That continue to prove they're much, much more than an overgrown boy band.

Today's Track Of The Day is the second single (out 22 August) from the new, eight song enhanced version of the band's sixth - Robbie Williams-reuniting - studio album, which was released last month to mark the band's UK tour.

And it seems even though they're becoming one of the biggest stadium-filling acts in the UK, Take That don't miss a trick or two to save the pennies shooting the video for When We Were Young at Wembley on their recent tour after everyone had gone home and before the cleaners got stuck in (what location costs?).

What's more, you'll be hearing a lot more of When We Were Young later this year as it's set to feature in a new film version of The Three Musketeers out in October.

"The film is visually so rich and beautiful that our main challenge was to then match it musically," says Gary Barlow. "We've returned to guitars, real pianos and a conventional song structure to achieve this. We also thought that the Musketeers reminded us of ourselves."
