According to those close to the brothers Gallagher - and certainly everyone who went to Noel's wedding in June will tell you Liam was conspicuous by his absence - the pair haven't spoken since that fateful night in Paris on 28 August 2009, when plumbs were thrown, guitars were smashed and Oasis ceased to be.
However despite the personal stony silence and subsequent the war of words through the media (Liam's "SHITBAG" comment being a highlight), it seems somebody is coordinating Noel and Liam's diaries.
The elder Gallagher has announced his first solo dates today (2 August) - Dublin Olympia Theatre (23 October), Edinburgh Usher Hall (27) and London HMV Hammersmith Apollo (29), see Aloud.com/tickets/noel-gallagher for ticket details - yet by coincidence Beady Eye are apparently taking a break from the road just as Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds make their live debut.
It could be that pair just don't want to risk running into each other at a motorway service station at 6am, maybe Gem Archer is Noel and Liam's go between, or perhaps there is still some brotherly love (plus some smart management) buried deep within them after all? No, no after you Our Kid...
Meanwhile Oasis have been nominated as one of the 25 greatest artists of Q's lifetime. Head to Qthemusic.com/q25 to vote for them and get more information about our 25th birthday celebrations, including exclusive gigs, video interviews and more.
Plus listen to Noel Gallagher's debut solo single The Death Of You And Me now.
