Mark West knows a thing or two about growing grass roots' support, so expect a strong charge from his band The Lost Cavalry
As the guitarist in Fanfarlo, West saw his group's fortunes grow via word of mouth support and now he's doing it again.
What better way then to give the fans what they want, more music, so following Desert Tracks EP earlier this month, The Lost Cavalry have given Q this new song The Tower for track of the day.
"Christmas, when I was on a flight from New York to Boston. I could see Manhattan from the air, with the Empire State building overlooking the city," he says of the song.
"I imagined all the tubes, wires and pipes that must wind through the city and the island in layers. And I wondered how many disused wires there are in people's basements, with no one knowing where they lead or what they were originally for, and switches that are still connected up but don't seem to do anything."
