Our current issue, Q304, is an extra-special one: it's our 25th birthday.
To mark the occasion the magazine boasts 25 different covers featuring 25 different acts who are currently shaping music.
Each day, we¹ll be printing an exclusive extract from one of the 25 cover interviews.
Today, it's the turn of Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, who tells us you might find him playing his own songs in his local guitar shop - no Stairway? No problem.
"I usually try out a new guitar on my own songs so I'll be able to hear what the guitar does," says Billie Joe Armstrong. "Obviously I try to make sure that no-one's around watching me play my own songs."
The singer also describes what he was like in 1986, the year Q was launched: "I was a terrible student. I just wasn't focused. I also had a mullet. The most embarrassing haircut I ever had."
Come back tomorrow for another exclusive cover story extract from Q304.
