  • Im sick of people saying its about time they split up,i dont get it! REM was a band for me who made great music no matter where it got in the charts.I always thought it was about the music and not the money. Now we all have to watch and listen to untallented x factor singers. REM songs are never played on the radio apart from the same old losing my religion, man on the moon, everybody hurts, and shinney happy people.Everytime a new album was brought out you would never hear a song off it on the radio, maybe once.No wonder they were getting fed up,no body would let them move on!The music industery for me has just died.I just hope one day they will get back together and blow everyone away.Thank you Rem!

  • I just don't get the slagging off either. Look you morons, the debt indie/alternative/call it what you bloody well like owes to REM is unmeasurable. They rank alongside Black Flag, Sonic Youth, Husker Du and The Replacements as being true mavericks of American underground music. Don't lump them in with careerist bedwetters such as U2 or Coldplay.Their linage and influence can be heard through Nirvana to Radiohead. Even their weakest records has more adventure than the Vaccines will ever get near. A truly one of a kind and unique band.

  • R.E.M have waved goodbye in an era when Jessie J and Rhianna roam the charts...what sad times we live in! R.E.M will live on in my heart...a band of pure musical and artistic genius. The Q covers bring back many memories!
