Andy Burrows: "Mobiles are ruining mosh pits" - Q Radio

Comments

I Am Arrows leader and the man fast becoming the UK's Dave Grohl (having moved from behind the kit to front a series of bands), Andy Burrows will be on Q Radio this Sunday (9 October) from 2pm (BST) as our guest single reviewer.

Currently working on a Christmas album with Editors' Tom Smith, Burrows is the guest on the Q Show and along with getting to grips with this week's releases and he discusses how technology has ruined gigs.

"Back in the day everyone used to mosh," he declares. "You'd go to Reading, or wherever, and the whole crowd would be moshing to a random song by a band you'd never heard of, and now you go and, like, Muse play their biggest hit and the core are going side-to-side and there's a couple of people pointing, but everyone else is on their phone."

Tune in from 2pm on Sunday he talks to Q's Niall Doherty, and reviews this week's singles including offerings from Noah And The Whale, Feist and Caged The Elephant, while we play selected highlights from this month's Q50. The show is also repeated on Tuesday (11 October) at 8pm (BST).
