You'll have heard the rumours by now - Stone Roses are said to be reforming to play shows next year. The band are apparently holding a press conference tomorrow afternoon to announce a comeback. There's been no official word yet - well, aside from a cryptic message from former drummer Reni who had this to say: "Not before 9T will I wear the hat 4 the Roses again" while Ian Brown has texted magician Dynamo telling him "we are going to rule the world again. It's happening." Join us tomorrow when indie's worst kept secret looks like it will be confirmed.

Sonic Youth "super-couple" Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore have split after 27 years marriage, throwing the band's future into doubt. The group have shows lined up in Argentina and Brazil in November which will go ahead but a statement issued by the band on Friday said that "plans beyond that tour are uncertain."

If you, like many of world's best celebrity hangouts, have a problem with Lindsay Lohan turning up and lowering the tone (or at the very least inadvertantly bringing hundreds of paps in her wake), then there is a simply solution to send her packing. Simply play Pitball's track Give Me Everything. The 'actress' is suing over her namecheck in the song ("I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan") and told staff at a recent event she attended she would walk out of any of Pitball's music was played... easy.
