Hip hop production pioneer DJ Shadow has teamed up with Swedish electonic outfit Little Dragon for his new single Scale It Back, out on 12 December.
Shadow released his fourth studio album The Less You Know, the Better in September, whilst Little Dragon released their third, Ritual Union, a few months earlier in July, making it a productive year for both acts.
Both artists have also been lauded for their live shows over the last 12 months, Little Dragon for vocalist Yukimi Nagano's distinctive voice - which Damon Albarn borrowed for Gorillaz's Plastic Beach - and Shadow who has been performing onstage inside his own Death Star, aka a sphere from which he DJs inside of (and possibly checks his email from) during gigs.
