'Let England Shake' should have been number 1. Also, why no Kate Bush in this top 50?

"Let England Shake" should have been number 1.

Let England Shake should've been no.1, although I would put Ceremonials at the second place, it's still a fantastic album. Where is Kate Bush??

Tom Waits & Kate Bush???? Baxter Dury should have been between ##5 and 10.

Agreed with Florence. On the other hand, imho 21 is nice but overrated.

This is a bad joke...

I'm a bit shocked about Florence and the machine being number 1. I didn't mind her voice at first but it grates on me now, as many people have said. PJ Harvey is always changing evolving, I love every thing she has ever done she's a genius

Let england shake shoud have been number 1 and where are wilco's the whole love and low's c'mon!!!

'Let England Shake' - should certainly be number one. It's head and shoulders above the rest.
As a veteran, PJ has given us a classic that will stand the test of time. Remarkable songwriting.
I agree with a few other posts.
Some great albums are missing, such as:
Tom Waits - Bad as me
Wilco - Whole Love
M83 - Hurry Up, We're Dreaming
Low - C'mon

Born This Way? seriously? The most overrated album of the year. All songs failed to chart in the UK compared to her previous releases. Glad you included Washed Out, very refreshing sound.

you know, typically there is always dissatisfaction with these sort of these lists but this is truly erroneous. i loved ceremonials but it's hardly worth such a position. that honour surely should have been bestowed to Polly Jean. and the fact that they completely ignored kate bush,M83 & ladytron(who released quite possibly their most refreshing work in a while)....then add that with the fact that lady gaga's album was ranked higher than feist's utterly sublime metals....and bjork's biophilia is so low compared with others that were nowhere near as remarkable.....no.
this seems more about popularity and they filled in certain spots to try and keep their integrity. i don't buy it. i mean i don't understand how anybody can simply ignore kate bush. egregious mistake on their part.

Let England Shake should have been number one hands down :-) There is no comparison between ceremonials and Let england shake... Shake is by far the better body of work, simple, engaging and rich with a level of deeper context that ceremonials lacks.
Also where the Tom Waits album Bad as Me... such a strong album also

What a poor list and a shockingly bad top 10! Florence at no 1 is a total joke!

The fact that St. Vincent is in there at all has made me happy; the fact that she's so high up is fantastic! It is a brlliant album!

Mastodon - The Hunter: should have been Number 1. Epic, rockin', diverse and fun - can't ask for more than that.
Pursue happiness with diligence...
