Roberts has so far declined to comment, but it's been pointed out that both songs feature cheerleader-style choruses along with other glaring similarites.

Michael Stipe has revealed he isn't retiring quite yet despite announcing he won't be making a solo album following R.E.M's split. "No, I'm not going to miss it, because hopefully I'm going to do something that makes me continue as an artist in some medium or other. Or several mediums. Perhaps music. I don't know. But the most satisfying thing was having a job that allowed me to have an audience that allowed me to be artist, and to create," he says. "Whether it's a moment in music, or a lyric, or something that's more tangible, and that people have allowed you to do that, it just doesn't get better."
