Noel Gallagher has revealed the third part of a video trilogy set around songs from his recent solo album. The former Oasis leader plays a priest in the clip to Ride The Tiger and is set to a marry a couple before their wedding is interrupted by a cowboy. Meanwhile, The Chief also met Paul McCartney again in Milan at the weekend, describing it on his blog: "I'm like a small boy when shit like that happens. And he's a true gentleman. The fuckin' daddy."

Conrad Murray, the doctor convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, has been sentenced to four years in prison. "Murray unquestionably violated the trust and confidence of his patient, Mr Jackson, on a repeated and nightly basis," Judge Michael Pastor said in his ruling.

Feist and Mastodon are set to cover each others' songs for a split seven-inch for the American leg of Record Store Day 2012. "The idea is for Mastodon to cover a Feist song and throw some hair and dirt on it," Mastodon bassist Troy Sanders said. "They're going to take a Mastodon song and pretty it up a little bit." No news yet on whether copies will make it to Blight for 21 April.

Vybez Cartel, the Jamaican dancehall artist arrested earlier this year on suspicion of murdering two men, has reportedly broken out of prison after holding prison guards at gunpoint. Cartel has collaborated with the likes of Jay-Z and Eminem in the past and now looks to be on the run from the law. Six others are said to have also escaped.

Q Awards Best New Act winners WU LYF have begun work on the follow-up to their debut album along with a mystery film project. "We have a bunch of new songs and a specific direction where we're taking it," the band's Ellery Roberts explained.
