Billy Corgan has spoken out about his new wrestling company, Resistance Pro, ahead of its opening show tonight in Chicago. "It's a serious endeavor," insisted the Smashing Pumpkins man. "If I had to artificially prime the audience because of my musical life that's sad. This is going to succeed on its own ideas, not because I jumped the shark."

Katy Perry is tipped to star in a Broadway show about the life of Marilyn Monroe. Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, the man behind forthcoming biopic My Week With Marilyn, said: "If the movie works, I would try to make it a musical and I would go to Katy first. I think she can play Marilyn on the Broadway stage. I think she would be amazing."
