Playlist - Amanda Mair's 'Songs for a dinner'

Comments

Swedish teen singer-songwriter Amanda Mair turned heads earlier this year with her song House, released on the influential Labrador label, including nods from the likes of Popjustice.com. She's back with a new single Doubt this week (released 31 October), which is a cause for a celebratory meal or two, so appropriately the 16 year-old has a supplied us with a playlist to eat your din dins to.

Melody Gardot - If The Stars Were Mine
"Melody Gardot is an artist I look up to. She has an amazing voice and writes incredible lyrics. The song just makes me feel very happy."

Norah Jones - Sunrise
"I first heard the song Sunrise many years ago when my sister were listening to it. Today I am still listening to Norah Jones' wonderful voice."

Bon Iver & St. Vincent - Roslyn
"I am like many other girls hooked on the Twilight Saga. One reason for this is their wonderful soundtrack. This song is perfectly done by Bon Iver and St Vincent. Roslyn is definitely my favorite song from the soundtrack."

Anna Ternheim - No Subtle Men
"Anna Ternheim is a Swedish singer song writer who writes the most amazing songs. The first time I saw her was in 2007. Ever since that her music inspires me a lot."

Feist - The Water
"Her bright voice combined with the very classic sound of the piano just makes it a perfect song for a dinner. As well as listening to it I just love singing it for myself."

Kings Of Convenience - Love is no big truth
"I listen a lot to Kings Of Convenience and usually I let the songs go on repeat. This song is lovely and I always get in a good mood when I listen to it."

Stan Getz & Astrud/João Gilberto - The Girl From Ipanema
"This is an old bossa nova song from the 60's. I find it amazing. When I listen to it, I feel calm and relaxed and that is why it is the perfect song for a dinner. Imagine a romantic dinner with your loved one, a few candles and delicious food...

Lykke Li - Knocked Up
"Lykke Li covers Kings Of Leon's Knocked Up which. I just love her version and how she sings it."

Bo kaspers orkester - Vi kommer aldrig att dö
"This is a Swedish orchestra band that I have grown up with and I love their songs. Vi kommer aldrig att dö is pleasant to listen to and the saxophone in the song makes the song complete. The title of the song means We Will Never Die."

Palpitation - In Five Years
"A friend of mine told me about Palpitation this summer and we listened a lot to their self titled album while we were out in the sun. They are awesome!"

Plus here's Mair's own single Doubt.
