St Vincent has has spoken about surprise collaboration with The Pop Group's Mark Stewart at her London show last week (10 November). "I loved it. I could not believe that he was singing," Annie Clark told Q. "I did not want that song to end ever! It's crazy to get to play with one of my heroes. I can't believe it." Stewart, who releases a new seven-inch single - featuring a cover of T Rex's Children Of The Revolution and a collaboration with Eve Libertine from Crass - for Record Store Day's Black Friday (25 November), described being on stage with St Vincent as "like holding a lightning conductor." The collaboration came after Stewart heard St Vincent was covering The Pop Group's She's Beyond Good On Evil on tour and tweeted her to suggest they team up onstage in at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Atlas Sound's Bradford Cox has revealed the dark inspirations behind his song, Flagstaff. In a harrowing interview yesterday he discussed "a post-apocolyptic breakdown of society" and recalls watching a four year old girl die of e-coli in a hospital bed, as well as the death of a childhood friend. "When I was a kid I saw my friend get decapitated riding a four-wheeler. It was after church. It's one of those memories you don't really remember. The mother tried to put the head back on." Police have begun to remove protestors from Zuccotti Park, the site of the Occupy Wall Street movement. There were 200 live-in demonstrators facing eviction from the camp in New York overnight, which has been visited by Kanye West and seen performances from Jeff Magnum and Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello in recent weeks.

Are there more Amy Winehouse albums on the way? According to friend and producer Salaam Remi, there won't be a follow-up to her forthcoming posthumnous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures. "She didn't record like 2Pac, so that's not the case," Remi said. "There are definitely things that people hadn't heard that have been recorded, but they're in different modes in different forms. But she wasn't a recorder like that."

Lil B has released a new mixtape featuring an AIDS awareness track. The song arrives ahead of Aids Awareness day on 1 December and comes with a plea from the rapper to fans to protect themselves.
