After a painfully long wait, The xx have finally announce that they're getting started on making the follow up to their Mercury Prize-winning debut xx.
The Londoners first record was released in August 2009, though since then individual members of the band have been involved in their own side projects; drum machine maestro Jamie xx has built a name for himself as a producer and a skilled remixer, putting his own spin on Gil Scott-Heron's final album I'm New Here, while vocalist/guitarist Romy has collaborated with label mates Creep.
