Florence Welch performed a cover of the Amy Winehouse song Back To The Black in memory of the late singer at a VH1 Divas concert in New York on Monday (19 December). Rapper Nas also paid tribute to Winehouse at the show, telling the audience: "It didn't matter where she was from or what the colour of her skin was, because Amy Winehouse was my true soul sister."

Rihanna has become embroiled in another dispute over racist abuse, this time forcing the editor-in-chief of a Dutch women's magazine to resign. The singer, who was reported to have been the victim of racial slurs on Monday on a trip to Portugal, was referred to as "the ultimate n*** bitch" in a recent article on street fashion in Jackie magazine, sparking an angry response from fans. Editor-in-chief Eva Hoeke denied there was any racial motive behind the article but announced her resignation yesterday due to "enormous pressure from social media."

Rhys Darby has suggested that a Flight Of The Conchords film could be on the cards. Lady Gaga has had her official Twitter and Facebook accounts hacked. Earlier this week, a bogus message advertising a "special Lady Gaga edition iPad" appeared on the singer's social media pages, only to be promptly taken down by site administrators upon recognising the scam.

After much speculation, this year's Oxegen festival in Naas, Ireland has been cancelled. Organisers issued a statement saying: "Oxegen like Glastonbury is taking a year off in 2012 and will be back July 2013. Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas & peaceful New Year.
