Q Now: The Sessions Who Are Ya? Howler

Comments

Next week (23-27 January) Q Now: The Sessions take over London's XOYO for a series of gigs. Each day this week we're speaking to one of the acts who'll be playing and finding out a bit more about the fresh talent on show. And if you want to be there, enter our competition to win tickets now.

Who are ya?
"Jordon Gatesmith."

What are your qualifications?
"I was born the night of the great Minneapolis fire of 1992. As my mother was in labour, the hospital burned down and I suffered disgusting burns; born a monster, a recluse from society. I had countless plastic surgery operations until I became the skin graft beauty I am today. I started a band to channel my early frustrations in life."

What would you have on your rider for your Q show if money was no object?
"A bucket of hard boiled eggs. And someone who loves me, for who I am on the inside. But who could ever love me."

What's your plan for world domination this year?
"It really is top secret. Can't give much away at this point. But it starts with seducing the members of U2."

What do you think of the other acts on the bill with you?
"I think they are all fantastic. Beautiful acts. Beautiful people. With real skin."

Which song of yours should people get their dancing shoes on for at the show?
"Beach Sluts. Be sure that you take your pants off though. Shoes are definitely required, especially the ones of the dancing persuasion."

What's your motto?
"Give Up. Real words to really live by."

Which one track of yours which is online now should we listen to before your Q Now: The Sessions show?
"I'm honestly not even 100 percent sure what YouTube is. It sounds like some sort of underground sex soliciting website. And if that's what it is, you wont find Howler on it. But then again, you might." [Ok we'll go with the band's recent session then, Back Of Your Neck is above - ED]
