Comments

Name: To Kill A King
Track name: Cold Skin
Home town: Leeds
Who? Formed at Leeds University in 2009, indie folk clan To Kill A King look set to follow in the foot steps of their contemporaries this year. Cold Skin is one of their earlier tracks, released in the summer of 2010, and marks the first sparks of a rising band. Read a Q&A we did with singer Ralph Pelleymounter about the band's origins and more.
Like these? Then try this: Grizzly Bear, The National, Mumford & Sons
Why now? On 25 January, To Kill A King will headline a show consisting of themselves, Jamie N Commons and Jodie Marie for a Q Now: The Sessions show at London's XOYO. You can win tickets to this show and more now.
Sounds like: Smooth and emotive, a warm sip from the good folk-rock mug.

  • TKAK are the best newcomers I've heard! I've seen them several times already. They have some fantastic songs and their music is addictive and impressive at the same time.

  • Awesome band, great track! Check out the 'My Crooked Saint EP' too. Spotify and iTunes can sort that out. Can't wait to see them live :)
