Blur - Fool's Day (2012 Brit Awards special)

Comments

Name: Blur
Track name: Fool's Day
Home town: London
Who? If you really need that one explaining you're probably on the wrong website... Oh alright then, inadvertant leaders of the mid 1990s Britpop movement in Britain, the band made their last album, 2003's Think Tank without founding member, guitarist Graham Coxon. However after a few years of inter-band feuding, the four members put their differences aside in 2009 and reunited for a series of shows. This song, their first original recording with all four members since Battery In Your Leg, was released as a limited edition seven-inch to mark Record Store Day in 2010.
Like these? Then try this: The Kinks, David Bowie, The Jam
Why now? Blur will pick the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at tonight's (21 February) Brits, while they have also announced they will play London's Hyde Park on 12 August with The Specials and New Order to mark the end of the Olympics. Plus Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon playing a new song, Under The West Way at War Child's Brits gig on Sunday (19), there's a hint more new material could emerge soon.
Sounds like: A sunny spring day in west London
