Who? Ever the pioneers of the peculiar, East Coast hip hop trio De La Soul bring their alt-rap up to date to 2012, with typically sardonic lyrics and shoulder-shaking beats (plus a few old school flutes thrown in for good measure).

Why now? Must B The Music is the first single from De La Soul's collaborative record featuring two of the group and two French producers called Chokolate and Khalid. It's a concept album about a couple of kids who start MCing before falling out with each other. Must B The Music is out on 26 March, the album follows in April.
