Eminem is to collaborate with DJ Premier on new material. The Brooklyn producer announced in a radio interview that he and Slim Shady (who made a cameo during Dr. Dre's Coachella performance on Sunday, above) are to record in Detroit, prompting speculation that a new album from the rapper is imminent.

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are reportedly discussing the possibility of a stadium tour, bringing with them the 2pac hologram they used at the weekend's Coachella Festival. Meanwhile Shakur's mother is said to have been "positively thrilled" with the late rapper's 'performance' at the festival.

"They pulled out my sleeping tablets and asked me to explain them. There were about 30 little yellow and white tablets," he said. Orbital's Paul and Phil Hartnoll have explained their mother's terminal cancer was a factor behind their 2008 reunion. "I didn't want to [Orbital] it any more," explained Paul Hartnoll. Dave Grohl has reunited with former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and Garbage's Butch Vig, who produced the grunge band's 1982 classic Nevermind.
