Richard Hawley - Leave Your Body Behind (Record Store Day 2012 special)

Comments

Name: Richard Hawley
Track name: Leave Your Body Behind
Home town: Sheffield
Who? Having played guitar in both The Longpigs and Pulp, Richard Hawley these days is Britain's leading crooner - and Arctic Monkeys best pal, having recently joined his fellow Sheffieldites on recent Black Treacle's B-side You And I.
Like these? Then try this: Nick Cave, Jarvis Cocker, Morrissey
Why now? It's Record Store Day this Saturday (21 April) which means independent record shops around the country will be full of exclusive, limited edition releases and we'll be showcasing some of the choice items in the run-up to the day. Richard Hawley's contribution to the 2012 releases is a ten inch vinyl version of Leave Your Body Behind, limited to 750 copies. The song is taken from his sixth album Standing At The Sky's Edge, which is released on 7 May.
Sounds like: Watching the sun melt at Woodstock.
