Bono is to present Aung San Suu Kyi with Amnesty International's highest honour in Dublin next month. The Burmese pro democracy leader is embarking on an international tour after her release from house arrest and participation in free elections. "It's so rare to see grace trump military might, and when it happens we should make the most joyful noise we can," Bono explained. "Aung San Suu Kyi's grace and courage have tilted a wobbly world further in the direction of democracy. We all feel we know her, but it will be such a thrill to meet her in person."

Where does The Hives Howlin' Pelle Almqvist get his stage moves from? "Unfunny" comedians of course. "Some of it [provoking the audience] comes from comedians, but comedians that are not necessarily funny," he explains. "Andy Kaufman might be the best example - as long as he liked it, he didn't really care what was going on. He seemed a little crazy too. Lenny Bruce, too - very confrontational stand-up comedians we took a few things from."
