Name: Oasis
Track name: All Around The World
Home town: Manchester
Who? Once upon a time, before there was Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Beady Eye there was a band called Oasis...
Like these? Then try this: Let's face it... The Beatles
Why now? It's the Eurovision song contest tonight (26), but once along time ago before Oasis' first album, in 1993 in fact Noel boasted he written a song that was "going to win the Eurovision Song Contest". That song was called, he said, All Around The World... until he decided it was better than a mere 12 points from the Malta jury and popped it on Be Here Now instead. Meanwhile here's some of this year's weirder entries.
Sounds like: The Beatles... to be fair even Oasis weren't trying to hide its origins, just looked at the Yellow Submarine infused video.

"All around the world" was not written by Noel Gallagher but by the Griffiths, as many other famous Oasis songs
