M83 are set to score Tom Cruise's next film, sci-fi flick Oblivion. "I've wanted to do soundtracks for so long, and starting with such an ambitious project, especially in the sci-fi category, means a lot to me," explained mainman Anthony Gonzalez. "I'm not afraid to do my first soundtrack on a big Hollywood movie, with a big budget and a lot of pressure... I like challenges and it excites me more than frightens me. I can't wait to hear my music played by amazing musicians, and an orchestra and brass and maybe choirs. It's a chance to create something big and I'm ready for it."

Muse say new album The 2nd Law, out in September, will be groovy... and jazzy! "There's a bigger emphasis on groove, we've always tried to improve on that with every album and I think on two or three tracks we've really nailed it," Matt Bellamy told Zane Lowe. "There's a couple of tracks where we've captured the other side of us too, they're quite minimal. There's a really jazzy brass number, I even tried to get a sax solo."
