Who? Former lead of LCD Soundsystem, having broke the group up last year, he's now a superstar DJ, producer and coffee enthusiast. He's also a sometime film scorer and this solo track is taken from his work on the Greenberg soundtrack.

Why now? Since ending LCD, Murphy has been planning for his future. Not only is a documentary about his old band, Shut Up And Play The Hits, out later this year but there's talk of him writing a novel and opening a New York coffee shop - not to mention running is DFA label. Murphy is also jetting around the globe to DJ and will be spinning discs later today at London's Lovebox festival with his 'Soundsystem buddy Pat Mahoney under the guise of Special Disco Version. We'll have a review of this year's Lovebox online tomorrow.
